The background colour is an unusual bright blue; this suggests that it is for a younger audience. Kid Cudi is the main article in this edition of the magazine hence why he is on the front page. It is quite an empty magazine cover when compared to others, this doesn’t have much information on it whereas when compared to another magazine for example kerrang or rolling stone, there magazine covers are filled with writing about their brilliant new issues, whereas this just has the title, Kid Cudi, and names of who else is in the edition at small writing towards the top of the page above the title. Also it has almost ‘splash’ and ‘dripping’ effects on it this also makes it look more suitable for a teen audience, making it look more ‘street’ and making it stand out on the shelves when compared to other magazines. The title is easily seen and read so it appeals to new audience as well as old audiences. Kid’s expression shown is almost as if to say “check this out” with the thumbs up action as well as his name on the inside of his jacket that he is showing the audience.
